The Hotel Beau Séjour offers a unique blend of historical charm, art and design. Some artworks and design items in our public areas and hotel rooms are for sale. You will also find a small hotel store on the first floor with great, carefully selected products. A big star in Nina Staehli's work is the art figure "Ruby Dean". There are sculptures of her, including a Staehli-typical Big Head sculpture. Ruby is also part of Nina's films, performances and photographs. For the Hotel Beau Séjour, the artist designed a ceramic bowl in honor of Ruby Dean. The bowl looks great as a work of art on a wall, but is also suitable as a soup or muesli container.

Our sock monkeys fit in perfectly with the hotel's "true love" credo! Behind the Maimous is a mother-daughter team. Parthena Joannidou, over 80 years young, lovingly makes the monkeys from discarded socks. Daughter Anastasia takes care of sales. The unique pieces moved in with us in 2019 and have been delighting young and old ever since. The sock monkeys greet our guests in the hotel rooms, a few of them would rather explore the wide world and are waiting for new owners in the hotel store.

The BS-Collection combines contemporary design with high-quality craftsmanship. Daniel Hunziker designed this furniture collection especially for us, and the line now comprises eleven unique objects. The trestle, armchair, double and triple sofas and side tables can be ordered as small series from the renowned Swiss manufacturer Girsberger.
Assembly takes place without tools and dust-free in a very short time. If required, the objects with upholstery can be manufactured with flame-retardant materials, for example in accordance with Swiss fire protection class RF2. There is also the option of replacing the cushions.
Our director Manuel Berger is a passionate boxer. That's why there's a boxing club in the Beau Séjour cellar. With a punching bag, punching bob and everything that goes with it. And because we don't do things by halves, we had a logo designed for the club. It's a real feast for the eyes, even for non-boxers. That's why we had it screen-printed on pullovers, hoodies and T-shirts.
