Our heart beats not only for the hotel business and gastronomy, but also for design, art and culture. Under our historic roof, everything comes together, combines into an extraordinary whole and makes the Beau Séjour what it is: a house for guests who are looking for the extraordinary and love the beautiful.
Daniel is our designer of trust. He strongly influenced the design identity of the Beau Séjour, also with his furniture line. The "BS Collection" blends unagitatedly into the historic, in places wild surroundings of our boutique hotel and now comprises eleven different objects - from armchairs to suitcase trestles.
Nina adds further character to our spaces with her contemporary art. Her works range from experimental installations to sculptures and large-scale paintings. Sometimes poetic, sometimes irritating, sometimes inspiring, sometimes tongue-in-cheek... always stimulating.
Since 2020, we have invited an author to the Beau Séjour once a year. With a view of Carl Spitteler's Quai - winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1919 - you can write for three weeks.
A poster is also part of the literature residency. An artist of our choice will receive a Carte Blanche for its design; the 2024 edition with author Julia von Lucadou is by Samuel Herzog.
From March 3 to 24, 2024, we welcome Julia von Lucadou as our fourth literature resident. She holds a doctorate in film studies and has worked as an assistant director, television editor and simulation patient. Her first novel "Die Hochhausspringerin" was awarded the Swiss Literature Prize, was shortlisted for the Swiss Book Prize and is now available in several languages. Julia von Lucadou's second book "Tick Tack" was published in 2022, from which the resident will be reading in the ballroom on March 21.

The BS-Collection combines contemporary design and valuable craftsmanship. The furniture collection was developed for us by Daniel Hunziker and expanded over the years to now eleven objects. The armchair, the two- and three-person sofas as well as the side tables are available as small series and can be ordered from the traditional manufacturer Girsberger according to individual wishes.
Great gastro personalities wanted! We offer fixed working hours and six weeks' vacation.
