Description
A big star in Nina Staehli's work is the figure of "Ruby Dean". There are sculptures of her, including a Big Head sculpture, one of Staehli's trademarks. Ruby is also part of Nina's films, performances and photographs. For Hotel Beau Séjour, the artist designed a ceramic bowl in honor of Ruby Dean. The bowl looks great as a work of art on a wall, but is also suitable as a bowl for eating soup or cereal.
